Public Lecture: Architecture and the Right to Housing in Argentina
Rosa Aboy and Pablo Elinbaum with Karen Kubey
Professional Council of Architecture and Urban Planning (CPAU), Buenos Aires | August 06, 2025
This public lecture and panel discussion explored how the right to housing—both in Argentina and globally—isn’t just a political, legal and economic issue, but also an architectural one. What does the right to housing mean in practice? And how can designers contribute? The Daniels Architecture and Housing Justice Lab’s founder Karen Kubey was joined by Rosa Aboy, director of Center for Research on Housing History in Latin America (CEIHVAL-IEH-UBA), and Pablo Elinbaum, a leading researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) in Buenos Aires.
